It’s time to take down this oversized rodent for good.
The world of Azuma is filled with dangerous beasts and monsters roaming around. If not taken seriously, you might end up as fodder for these animals.
Once taken down, these beasts will give you rewards and random items that you can collect and use to improve your character.
At the same time, the game will also give you quests to hunt them. One such quest is the Flower-Festooned Rodent which tasks you with hunting down the Ragetail.
This guide will show you how to do it.
How to Complete the Flower Festooned Rodent Quest
The Ragetail is a gigantic gray rodent with a flower on its head. As you progress in the game, you will get to face it as part of the Flower-Festooned Rodent quest.
To complete this mission, your goal is to hunt the Ragetail which will move to these locations:

To start, you want to head over to Deserted Granary next to Brook Stepping Stones. As soon as you arrive in that area, you will immediately see the Ragetail.
Once the fight has started, make sure to observe its attack pattern.
First, the rodent will keep on dodging by taking a leap. If that happens, make sure to move out of the way or you will get hit by its large tail.
Windswept Plain

After it gets hit several times, the rodent will run away. At this point, all you have to do is follow it to the Windswept Plain via the Southern Obsidian Cave.
This time, however, you have to be extra careful to not get too close, especially if you are a ranged fighter. Landing another attack will trigger the rodent to use another attack.
Aside from dodging and using single tail attacks, it will now use its hand to do a scratch attack. Make sure to keep a safe distance.
Keep chipping away its health until it moves to the final location.
Shrine Approach Marsh

The final location will be Shrine Approach Marsh which is next to Windswept Plain. At this point, the rodent will be very aggressive as it reaches low HP.
Its attack patterns will remain the same, albeit a bit more aggressive this time. You also want to keep spamming your attacks until you’re able to land the final blow.
Once the rodent goes down, you’ll then complete the quest at the same time and receive a bunch of hunting rewards.
