Where to Find Ferdinand in Ruins Portrait in a Pickle

As huge lovers of Hogwarts Legacy, we are incredibly glad to be able to interact with such a variety of crazy characters, just like in the films.

We’ve heard some players have been having trouble finding Ferdinand.

If you happen to be one, this guide will help you find him so you can complete the Portrait in a Pickle side quest.

Before you begin, you first need the Alohomora spell at level 2 for this guide’s method to work. So if you haven’t unlocked it, upgrade it first by finding some Demiguise Moon statues.

As you can probably guess, Ferdinand is trapped or kidnapped at the ruins. You should head inside the ruins and look for a stairwell leading to some area below it.

The stairs are somewhat long but straightforward, so keep walking until you hit the end of the road. As you keep walking, you’ll hear Ferdinand’s voice.

This should be a hint for you, as it means you’re going in the right direction.

Keep going down the path mentioned earlier. You will eventually arrive at the metal door shown in the image above.

For this, you need to use the Alohomora spell to break the door’s lock.

Once inside, you will hear Ferdinand’s complaining voice coming from the room’s corner. Speak to him and when he eventually stops cursing around, you will have finished the quest.
