Alvarez is one of the most vicious body punchers currently in the game, and his traits play to this strength. His Body Worker passive trait gives him a 15% increased damage when dealing hits to the body.
Like the real Canelo Alvarez, Alvarez in Undisputed has an incredibly strong chin.
This gives him the Granite Chin trait which reduces the chances of flash knockouts by 25%. However, it also weakens his block by 5%, causing him to take more damage than usual while blocking.
With that said, you can see how Canelo Alvarez is at his absolute best when he cuts the distance and gets in close, dealing a barrage of body punches that will exhaust his opponents.

Canelo Alvarez is also a strong catch-and-shoot fighter.
Bait your opponent’s attacks, catch them with your gloves, and then counter with your own strong attacks.
This is extremely important as it lets you put some pressure on your opponent even when you have to play more defensively.

To his disadvantage, however, Alvarez has relatively short arms so his reach is a bit lacking. When you get in close, you should try to stay up close and not let your opponent get away.
Keep applying pressure and don’t give your opponent a break.
In conclusion, Canelo Alvarez is best played by applying pressure, staying close to your opponent, and dealing constant blows to their body.
He has issues against fighters who can keep their distance, but once he gets in close, he’s an absolute beast.
As a closing note, we also want to mention that Undisputed is currently in Early Access and balance changes might happen during updates.
It’s unlikely that Canelo Alvarez will change much since he’s true to his real-life counterpart, but this is something to keep in mind.
