Tribes of Midgard: Where to Find Rare Materials | Gold, Fur, Yarn, and More
Most of the rare materials in the game can be found in these locations.
In Tribes of Midgard, you need resources to survive in either Survival or Saga mode. You can use these resources to create structures, make weapons, craft potions, and many more.
Some resources are hard to find, especially in the early game. Luckily, we made this guide to help you find some of these rare materials.
Rare Materials and their Locations
Gold
Gold is the first of the rare materials. In Tribes of Midgard, you can find it by traveling to the Smoky Highlands and exploring the various Hideouts and underpasses.
If you come upon an underpass or a Hideout, enter it and clear out several enemies. Locate some Gold Deposits and mine them to obtain Gold.
Fur
Fur is another rare material that can be obtained by hunting wolves or werewolves. However, they are often dispersed throughout the land, which makes finding them time-consuming, especially if you need a lot of them.
Luckily, you can buy it from vendors, but you will need a lot of souls. The T rune icon indicates vendor locations on the minimap and world map.
Selkie Flippers
Selkie Flippers can be obtained by killing Selkies which you can find in the Ash Beach Biome.
In addition, you can also find some Gold Deposits in this biome.
Yarn and Spun Yarn
Yarn comes in two varieties in the Tribes of Midgard: Spun Yarn and Yarn. Spun Yarn is more common in higher-level areas while regular Yarn is more common in lower-level areas. It’s also possible to craft Spun Yarn with the use of Yarn.
Upon reaching the end game, it will be hard to farm for Spun Yarn. However, you can easily find it if you defeat enemies on the beach areas on each island.
Unfrozen Talisman
The Unfrozen Talisman is the last piece of rare material that can only be obtained from Unfrozen enemies.
You can obtain it by traveling to the Glacial Peaks and defeating any humanoid enemy there.
In addition, when you defeat them, you can also get Yarn.
