Totally Accurate Battle Simulator How to Use Custom Units

The Added Custom Content Feature in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is one of the most used features since it was introduced a few years back. Here, you can create your custom units from a variety of weapons you unlocked in the game.

While creating units and custom maps is fairly easy, a number of players are having difficulties with using their custom units in battles.

In this guide, we will be making a step-by-step guide on how to create your first custom unit and deploy them on the field in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

We know that most players already have this feature installed and have already created their custom units in the game. For everyone to be on the same page, let’s start with how to create units first and then how to deploy them on the map.

If you are playing Tabs on an older version, you will need to update it up to the patch where unit Creator becomes available.

Create a Unit

Create a Unit

To create a Unit, head to the Custom Creator and switch to the unit tab. Select create new to bring you to the image above.

There will be 5 tab options for you to fill out for your custom unit. The base tab lets you select the base model for the unit and the voice.

The movement unit lets you select the units to be either melee or ranged type as well as calibrate their targeting system to the area of effect or enemy.

Weapon Tab

Weapon Tab

The weapon tab lets you choose a weapon for your unit. You can change the weapon colour as well as how the weapon is wielded. From one hand or two hands.

Clothing tab

Clothing lets you choose how your unit armor looks like. Like the weapon tab, you can also change its color for a more Personalize appearance.

Stats Tab

Depending on the stats you set, the price for the unit will depend on the individual stats. Find the perfect balance for your unit to be able to use them effectively in the field.

Save Tab

Save Tab

Before saving your character, use the test option to see if the unit works effectively. For example, having a high damage output for your ranged weapon will be effective by one hitting enemy units but it would suffer from ammo capacity.

Setting these too low will increase your ammo but it might get your unit over un by tougher enemies. Making a unit too overpowered will increase its stats but you might not be able to afford them in campaigns where you are given a limited amount of money to spend on units.

The Faction Tab

Now here is where many players can’t deploy their custom units to the field. After creating your custom units, you need to assign them to a faction to play. This wasn’t available in the earlier versions of the game and that’s why a lot of early-game players missed this step.

To do this, head to the custom content option and select the factions tab all the way to the top right of the screen. This will bring up your custom factions. Create or select a custom faction from here and assign your custom units there.

Head back to the main menu and select either Sandbox or campaign. Once you are in the game, expand the toolbar at the bottom of your screen and search for the custom faction tab. If it is your first time creating a custom faction then that will automatically be added to the hotkeys.

If not, select and drag your custom faction to the hotkeys, click on it and select your custom unit to deploy in the game.
