Top Games That Are Getting Remastered in 2023

Remasters and remakes have been the new trend for several games these past few years. There’s no better feeling than witnessing Ghost and Roach from Modern Warfare 2 get betrayed by General Shepherd with the latest CGI and in 4K resolution.

On a serious note, remasters have been a well-accepted feature in the industry.

Not only will they help the older generation relive the most iconic moments in gaming, but they also let the younger ones experience the old gems.

They also provide developers an avenue to trim storylines and features to give off a more complete feeling.

Without further ado, here are the top games that are getting remastered in 2023.

Like a Dragon: Ishin

This game is a long-awaited port to the west as the original game was released way back in 2014. This game counts as a remake not only because the original game got ported, but new characters such as Han JoonGi and Daisaku Kuze have also been added to this.

This game is basically the ultimate fan service game for long-time Like a Dragon Fans.

In this game, you will once again play as the iconic Kiryu Kazuma in feudal Japan to lead a revolution. The game will release February 21, 2023.

Another thing that is known to the public is that the game will be a PS5 exclusive and feature Cloud and his gang outside of Midgar.

Another fan favorite of the franchise is getting remastered in 2023. After a few experiments with the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remaster, Capcom is determined to perfect this remake.

The game will feature significant improvements in character appearances and overall aesthetics. Specifically, Leon’s appearance is a lot more modern than its counterpart.

It is also revealed that the combat system will generally be maintained. The game will also grant Leon a new feature of parrying.

The Resident Evil  4 remake will release across multiple platforms on March 24, 2023.

Dead Space

Dead Space

The well-loved space horror game is getting a remake in 2023. Unlike other games mentioned in this article, this upcoming game has the most details revealed.

The game presents enhanced familiarity for long-time fans and gives new fans a game that is up to their level at the same time.

The first feature that is apparent in this remaster is that Isaac is fully voiced, meaning he has a more active role in the success of the mission and can add to the emotion of every scenario.

The next feature that can be noticed in Dead Space is that there are no loading sequences in the tram. This is aimed to give the player a more immersive and connected experience. The game also introduces zero gravity, 360 degrees maneuvering.

Next is the overall improvement in cinematics. Scenarios are more emotional along with enhanced visuals. The violence and gore are also more apparent, so make sure you are of legal age when playing this game.

The Dead Space remake will be released on January 27, 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
