Sons of the Forest: Where to Find the Slingshot

The Slingshot is a basic weapon that can be found in Sons of the Forest. It’s not a particularly strong weapon by any means. However, it doesn’t require specific ammo, as you can use any rocks you can find.

Where to Find the Slingshot

You can find the Slingshot outside one of the many caves on the island. The picture above should point you to the location of the cave in the GPS.

This particular cave is upriver from the snowy mountains helicopter crash site. This is one of the potential starting points for the game. The area is fairly non-descript, so there are no landmarks.

However, if you potentially started the game in another place, such as the beach or forest, you’ll have to do a bit of walking. Refer to the GPS shown in the pictures to locate the cave easily.

As soon as you reach the cave’s entrance, you should notice three impaled soldiers outside. One of them has the Slingshot in his hands. Simply approach it and take it from him.

There you have it! The Slingshot is an easy weapon to get. However, it’s not really a strong weapon at all. The only advantage is that it uses rocks for ammo.

Regardless, you can now use the Slingshot anytime by equipping it from your inventory.
