Sons of the Forest’s goal is to survive each night as you progress through the campaign. As such, you must be well-equipped with the right resources and materials to stay alive.

Tools are best to set up a defense, especially at night, but weapons are equally important when you go out for some explorations.

One such weapon you can find in the game is the Pistol. Albeit already powerful, you can also make it more versatile by attaching the pistol rail.

But then again, you need to find it first. This guide will show you where.

Pistol Rail’s Location in Sons of the Forest

When talking about survival, especially when there are creatures like cannibals and mutants, it’s really important to learn how to use a weapon to defend yourself.

This should become a lot easier once you manage to find the pistol.

However, as you further progress in the game, you will have to explore different locations that are more dangerous than others. That way, you have to upgrade your weapons to increase your survivability.

In the context of a pistol, you have the Pistol Rail which you can attach so it can mount some attachments such as flashlights or lasers.

To find the pistol rail, you need to go to the seaside on the northwest part of the map.

When facing this way, move a little closer to the chunks of rocks. You will see some briefcases and a dead soldier’s body.

Simply approach the soldier’s corpse and look at the items placed in his hand. There, you can find three 9mm ammo and the pistol rail.
