In Sons of the Forest, you can craft and find a variety of arrow types for your Bow.

Some arrows do more damage but are harder to make. Others require rarer resources but can apply status effects to targets.

How to Change Bow Ammo in Sons of the Forest

Changing Bow ammo is simple, even though the game doesn’t explain it. You just need to make sure you have more than one arrow type in your inventory.

When you have your Bow in your hand and multiple arrow types in your inventory, look down toward the ground.

While you’re looking down, you’ll see a new icon appear on your screen. Press R as the icon indicates in order to swap to another arrow type.

Which ammo type you equipped will be shown on the bottom left. However, sometimes the text glitches and appears on the top left instead. This will hopefully be patched out as development on the game progresses during Early Access.
