Pokemon Scarlet and Violet How to Get a Shiny Cinderace

Every new Pokémon game features both fan favorites and new characters and Pokémon is introduced in the most recent Generations. Some Pokémon appear in only one game in the series. The starter Pokémon, Scorbunny, in Sword and Shield is a good example of this.

Since a HOME upgrade is expected in 2023, and the Limited Time 7-Star Cinderace Event will be available in December 2022, players now have a good opportunity to add Cinderace to their Pokémon team.

Why not aim for the bigger prize and get a Shiny? If you want to have your own Shiny Cinderace in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, here is our tutorial.

7-Star Cinderace Event

7 Star Cinderace Event

Available to Scarlet and Violet players until December 31st, 2022, the 7-Star Tera Raid Cinderace Limited Time Event is a special challenge that rewards players with special items.

The 7-Star Cinderace is up for grabs in this Event’s Round 1 for all participants. If you succeed in battle, use a Level Ball to facilitate Masuda Breeding of this Pokémon.

If you are unable to participate in the initial round of this Limited Time Event, fear not; there will be another run from January 12th to 14th, 2023.

Masuda Breeding

Masuda Breeding

There are several ways to breed in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, the Masuda method is highly recommended when it comes to Shiny Pokemon.

To get a Shiny Cinderace using Masuda Breeding, you need to trade your Ditto and Cinderace with another Ditto and Cinderace.

After that, purchase the dish ‘Compote du Fils‘ over at Gastronomie en Famille to increase your chances greatly of obtaining Eggs in the Picnic Basket

Make sure that Scorbunny/Cinderace and Ditto should be the only Pokémon in your current party.

While the two Pokemons are out in Picnic Mode, keep checking for Eggs appearing in your Picnic Basket. You’ll need to empty the Basket frequently because it can only contain ten eggs at a time.

Now that you have all of the Eggs, put Scorbunny/Cinderace and Ditto back in their respective boxes and insert the Eggs into your active party.

To hasten the hatching process, you should use a Pokémon equipped with the ‘Flame Body’ ability.

Repeat all the steps until you get a Shiny Scorbunny.

Using the HOME App
