In No Man’s Sky, you’ll need to keep your Launch Thruster powered up, and you’ll need either Uranium or Starship Launch Fuel to charge it.

Uranium can easily be located in radioactive areas. However, going there can be quite dangerous and not recommended.

Thus, it is preferable to make your own Starship Launch Fuel. Simply go to the exosuit inventory, then select craft a product.

Starship Launch Fuel requires 40 Di-hydrogen and 1 Metal Plating, which can be seen in the crafting menu.

It is simple to acquire Di-hydrogen, you just need to use your scanner to locate the bright blue H symbols on the map. To collect Di-Hydrogen, navigate to the marked locations and interact with the large blue crystals.

Metal plating is the other material needed and requires 50 Ferrite Dust to craft. Mining rocks on any planet will provide ferrite dust.

When you have all the components, select Starship Launch Fuel from the crafting menu. You should stock up on this fuel because you will be exploring for the bulk of your time in No Man’s Sky.

Take this into consideration. An entire Launch Thrusters worth of power can be obtained by consuming a Starship Launch Fuel.
