Before you start Minecraft, you can sometimes get stuck in the loading screen with the words “Building terrain”. This can be unpleasant sometimes, but there are five quick fixes regardless of your Minecraft version.

First is by allocating more RAM to your Minecraft. Follow these steps:

1. Open your Minecraft launcher.
2. Select Installation.
3. Click New Installation.
4. Put a name on the installation, choose the latest release, then select more options
5. In JVM ARGUMENTS, change the value of 2 in Xmx2G.

Changing the RAM will depend on the memory of your PC. If you have 16 GB, change the value to 8. If you have 8, then change it to 4. If you have 4, then change it to 2.

The following fix is to update your Windows, Java, and Graphics Drivers to their latest versions. For Windows, you can check Windows Update if a new version is available.

This will also include Java. You can update your Graphics Driver by going to their own applications. For example, use the GEFORCE experience for the NVIDIA Graphics Card.

The following fix is by configuring your Video Settings. You can try to change the Render Distance and turn off Shadows. Go to the Resource Packs section and ensure you only activated the Default pack.

If the previous method does not work, check your PC storage to see if it is still enough. If you do not have enough, you can delete some of the useless stuff you have.

You can also try to repair Minecraft, as this error occurs if there are corrupted files.

You can do this by following these steps:

1. Go to the Windows Setting.
2. Select Apps.
3. Find Minecraft, right-click on the icon, then select Advanced Options.
4. Scroll Down, then click Repair.

You can also click Reset if you want. Hopefully, any of these quick fixes can finally solve your issue.
