How to Use the Shimmy Parkour in Forspoken

When Forspoken was first shown off, one of the main things that stuck with people was the traversal mechanics in the game.

The dazzling spectacle that is Frey making her way through the open world really makes the game stand out.

Now that the game has been released, we are happy to say that that has not changed. Frey has a wide arsenal of skills that allow her to make her way across the map quickly.

One move you will be using often is Shimmy.

When you use Shimmy, Frey will kick off of the ground to gain speed. This will be the way to start your traversal combos, so you will become familiar with them quickly.

Here is a quick guide on how to get the most out of the Shimmy parkour move.

To use Shimmy properly, you must press X at the right time, which will cause Frey to perform a short leap forward.

After she has landed, you must press X again to continue the momentum. Continue doing this to pick up a lot of speed.

A great perk associated with Shimmying is that it does not consume stamina as many other skills do. This makes the Shimmy incredibly useful as you can extend a run far beyond what you’d normally be able to.

The more you get used to the Shimmy and all of the other moves, the faster and more effortlessly you’ll fly through the game.
