How to Get Unlimited Thestral Hair in Hogwarts Legacy

Thestrals are one of three mountable flying creatures in Hogwarts Legacy. These are winged horses that can only be seen by those who have seen death.

The Thestral Hair, which is a valuable material you need to upgrade your gloves, can only be obtained from brushing a Thestral. However, there’s a trick that lets you obtain unlimited Thestral Hair.

Look for the Thestral

To obtain Thestral Hair, the first thing you need to do is capture a Thestral. If you purchased the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy, you would already have a Thestral mount.

If you don’t have one yet, you can find Thestrals in the Bog region of the map, notably north of the East Ford Bog fast travel point.

After completing “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom,” you can use your Nab Sack to catch a Thestral. The quickest approach to capturing one is to use the Disillusionment charm and carefully sneak up on it.

Access it in the Vivarium

Return to the Room of Requirement after capturing a Thestral and releasing it in the Vivarium. Now, what you need to do is brush and feed the Thestral to obtain Thestral Hair. 

Each collection will give you 3 Thestral Hair, and every time you collect a Thestral Hair, you will need to wait for 25 minutes until you can start collecting again.

However, if you don’t want to go through the hassle of catching one and have a lot of money to spare, you may buy one from the Brood and Peck shop in Hogsmeade.

Each Thestral Hair costs 400 coins. With this trick, you can have unlimited Thestral Hair to harvest in your Vivarium.
