To unlock the Winterbite, you need to complete the Strider quest. This is the final quest for the Hall of Heroes questline, preceded by the Bluejay quest.

Completing the entire Hall of Heroes questline is time-consuming. You will need to complete many Terminal Overload events throughout the questline, and Strider is no exception.

Progress through the Hall of Heroes questline until you unlock the Strider quest. Now, let’s dive over how to complete this final quest and get the Winterbite.

The first step of the Strider quest will take you at least 3 days to complete. You will have to complete a Terminal Overload event in each of the 3 possible locations.

You will also need to use a Terminal Overload key to open the chest at the end of the event. Make absolutely sure you have a key before participating in the activity.

If you’re wondering why it will take 3 days, it’s because the location for Terminal Overload rotates each day. That means you can only do one location per day. You will also need to wait if you miss a day in the rotation.

This makes the first step of the quest the most cumbersome and annoying. All you can do is ensure you have a key for the event and that you’re doing a different location each time.

Next, you will need to gather location data and complete the Gilded Precept Lost Sector at Ahimsa Park.

You can gather location data by taking out the Shadow Legion Cabal. You will find lots of them as you do the Gilded Precept Lost Sector.

Once you complete the previous step, return to the archivist in the Hall of Heroes. Speak with him and repair a monument as instructed.

Lastly, you will need to go to Maya’s Retreat at the bottom right of your map. You can reach it from Límíng Harbor.

At Maya’s Retreat, just keep taking out the Hydras in the area and shutting down the Vex confluxes.

Finish this last step and you will be tasked with speaking to the Archivist again. Return to them and you will be rewarded with the Winterbite!
