The Flamethrower is paired with the Plasma Beam. When used, the Plasma Beam emits a continuous beam of fiery plasma that has a three-meter range.
Enemies hit with the fiery plasma will be ignited and take massive amounts of stamina damage.
It is also a Sustained Fire Charge Combo, meaning it will take 10 missiles to activate and uses 5 per second.

You can obtain it in the Phazon Mines, starting with this section in the Mine Security Station.
Face the right, destroy the gate, and scan using your visor to gain access to Storage Depot A. Turn left, then follow the path and take a right turn two times. Keep walking until you reach a slope going down.

You will find the Flamethrower in the middle of the room. Go to it, then a cutscene will play, and you will obtain the Flamethrower afterward.
The Flamethrower effectively sweeps many enemies; however, it has a low range. In fact, most players only obtain it to achieve 100% game completion.
