How to Get the Canister from the Algae Workshop – Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart has its fair share of quests that can be a bit challenging to complete. For example, once you reach the Algae Workshop, you will need to obtain the canister to proceed further.

However, getting it is not as easy as it seems.

How to Get the Canister from the Algae Workshop

You will need to get the canister as an objective for the Chronos Trigger quest.

Once you enter the Algology workshop, you will encounter mutants that were infected by the sprouts, specifically a powerful fire mutant. You will have to defeat it in order to progress.

After arriving at the workshop, Charles will give you a hint that the canister can be located on one of these platforms. Interact with the corpse to find out that the canister in a crate nearby.

Pick up the canister, and move up the stairs to place it in the console. You will then need to speed up the synthesizers which you can do by swimming in the polymer stream upwards.

After that, get in the cable car and use your SHOK to overclock the synthesizers.

Since the cable car is quite slow, get ready to defend yourself from Pchelas. We recommend using your fire axe instead of wasting ammo. If it starts emitting lasers, only then you can use your shotgun.

After that, leave the cable car to reboot the platform. Solve the puzzle by interacting with the disc from the center of the first row, then the disc from the right side of the second row.

Once the system is rebooted, return to the cable car to overlock the remaining synthesizers. This will finally synthesize the canister so you could insert it into the Birchtree.
