How to Get Black Hippogriff (Caligo) – Hogwarts Legacy

One of the first things that come to mind when exploring the Hogwarts Legacy map is flying around on a broomstick. Meanwhile, others use the dark, enigmatic Onyx Hippogriff as both a ground and aerial mount.

This mount received much attention at the most recent gameplay showcase when we saw a video of it moving about. Now, you can finally ride its back and soar through the skies!

Getting the Onyx Hippogriff (Caligo)

The Onyx Hippogriff mount is a pre-order exclusive that you can only obtain when you purchase Hogwarts Legacy’s Deluxe or Collector’s Edition.

It is one of two mounts available in the pre-order, the other being the Thestral Mount which is included in the Dark Arts Pack.

It is totally up to you whether you want the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition, but in any case, you must purchase the game prior to its first release.

When you launch Hogwarts Legacy for the first time, your reward panels will appear, enabling you to collect your exclusive pre-order items.

This includes the Onyx Hippogriff which you can find in your Gear menu when you’ve gained access to flying mounts.

At this point, all you need to do is complete The High Keep main quest to mount the Onyx Hippogriff and start flying!
