Aluminum wires are valuable materials used for bartering in STALCRAFT. If you want a gun from the Barter Tree, you need to stock up on Aluminum wires since most require those.

Aluminum wires can only be found in Agroprom and The Dark Valley.

Things You’ll Need

To locate an aluminum wire, you need to have a Metal Detector. You can either get one from the Barter Tree or progress your main quest to the Dumpyard quest, where you can get your hands on one.

Aside from that, you’ll also need a decent suit to protect you from radiation as you travel towards The Dark Valley.

Aluminum Wires Location

Aluminum wires can be located in the anomaly areas at The Dark Valley marked on the map above. These items randomly spawn and have no exact location.

Instead of equipping your Metal Detector, carry it in your inventory to save battery. Once it beeps, put the detector in your primary slot and follow the scanner.

You’ll know it’s an aluminum wire when you find a mound-looking thing on the ground. Aluminum wires drop in units of five.
