Fire Emblem Engage is not only about battling, collecting the Emblem Rings, and saving the continent of Elyos. You can also chill in your base.

In Somniel, you can do mini-games, interact with other characters, or find the animals that you adopted. 

With regard to the latter, we will show you how you can adopt an animal in the game.

Adopting Animals in Fire Emblem Engage

You will reach a point in the story where you unlock the feature to adopt animals throughout the continent of Elyos. You can do this after doing a mission in a town.

After a battle, you can explore the town. This will then allow you to find some animals. Go near an animal, then press A to adopt it.

However, not all animals can be adopted instantly. Sometimes they are locked by a requirement. For example, you can only adopt a Calisson Chicken if you have a level 2 Firene.

You can do this in the Bulletin Board in Somniel, select Donations, then level up a nation’s level by donating.

Where to Find Your Adopted Animals

Once you adopt an animal, go to Somniel, then travel to the Farmyard. You will see all of the animals in the Stables.

There is also an option called Grazing, where you will put 5 animals outside the Stables. Doing this can let you obtain some animal drops.

For instance, putting the Eloysian Dog into Grazing can drop an Iron Ingot, Steel Ingot, or Silver Ingot. This means that adopting animals will give you more benefits.

The only downside of adopting animals is that you cannot pet them. Additionally, you can check what animals are in the town before you explore them.
