Hogwarts Legacy: Plants Guide | Ditanee, Chomping Cabbage, Tentacola
Craft potions or deal damage using these Plants in Hogwarts Legacy!
Herbology is one of the many subjects available at Hogwarts, and it plays a particular role in this game. In Hogwarts Legacy, you can access a variety of Plants, each with its own set of effects.
It’s always a good idea to have plants on hand, whether for crafting potions or combat.
Potion Plants and Combat Plants are the two types of plants that players can find in the game. Without further ado, let’s start going over each of them.
Combat Plants

Combat Plants are solely for combat, as the name implies. These plants can either deliver damage to enemies or temporarily debuff them.
Here are some good examples:
- Mandrakes: Players can yank mandrakes from the ground, causing them to scream. This stuns enemies, allowing you to attack them more easily.
- Chinese Chomping Cabbage: These cabbages, as the name suggests, chomp at enemies, dealing damage. You can throw them at your enemies and then use spell combos to deal even more damage.
- Venomous Tentacula: Although the leaves of this plant can be used to make potions, they can also be used in combat. The plant’s vines have spikes and can cause significant damage.
- Devil’s Snare: These sun-hating plants can trap and immobilize enemies.
Potion Plants

Potion Plants, on the other hand, are used in potion-making. Potions require ingredients for you to brew, and this is where Potion Plants come in.
Here are some good examples:
- Dittany: These leaves are an ingredient in your main healing potion, Wiggenweld Potion.
- Mallowsweet: Mallowsweet is a strange herb that Centaurs use for stargazing. This most likely produces remedies that aid in Astrology.
- Venomous Tentacula: As previously stated, the leaves of this plant are also used in potions.
- Shrivelfigs: Because they reverse curses, they may have the same effect in potions.
- Spiky Mushrooms: Spiky Mushrooms are helpful for manufacturing items.
- Fluxweed: Fluxweed is an ingredient in Focus potions, which reduces the player’s cooldown.
These are all the Plants you encounter in Hogwarts Legacy. Study Herbology well and utilize these plants to aid you in battle!
