Hogwarts Legacy: All Collection Chests Locations in Lower Hogsfield

Collection chests reward you with random wand handle cosmetics or a random Conjuration recipe for your Room of Requirement.

These are the only chests that can be tracked both on the minimap and on your list of collectibles, unlike ordinary chests that contain random stuff and Eyeball Chests that contain money.

Depending on the shape of the chest, you can obtain a random Conjuration recipe (triangle) or a random wand handle (cylindrical).

In this article, we will focus on the Lower Hogsfield area, where you can find three Collection chests. Here are their locations:

Chest 1

Run beside the lake’s shore as you enter the village from the Lower Hogsfield Floo Flames. This Collection chest is hidden under a turned-over wagon.

Opening this chest will give you a random wand handle.

Chest 2

Use the cobblestone walk to your left in the same area to get to the back of the house. Near the vendor, you will find a Collection chest atop some boxes.

This chest will also award you with a random wand handle.

Chest 3

You need to get inside the locked house, but first, you need to know how to pick a lock. You will find a chest at the entryway that will reward you with a random Conjuration recipe.

To unlock a closed door, you must complete a section of The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament quest. This will unlock the Alohomora which is a lockpicking spell.

If you already know the Alohomora spell, cast it on the door to start a mini-game.

Now that you’re on the lockpicking screen, you must first align the red spark. When it starts spinning, you’ll know it’s perfectly aligned.

Then, do the same thing with the green spark. Again, you’ll know they’re in the appropriate spot when they start spinning on their own.

Hold the position with your two analog sticks until they both start spinning, and the door will open. You can then open the chest and take its loot!
