The latest version of Genshin Impact, version 3.4, has added new characters, new outfits, and new events. One of the events you can do in the game is the Exquisite Night Chimes event.

The Exquisite Night Chimes is the 2023 version of the Lantern Rite. We will show you how to start it.

How to Start the Exquisite Night Chimes Event

The Exquisite Night Chimes event comprises various mini-events that can reward you with Mora, Primogems, materials, and even a free 4-star character from Liyue.

The events have four themes: Paper Theatre, Radiant Sparks, Vigilance at Sea, and Behind the Scenes. They even have their own challenges and rewards.

If you want to participate in the event, ensure you have finished these missions:

• Archon Quest “A New Star Approaches”
• Archon Quest “The Crane Returns on the Wind”
• Story Quest “Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter: Act 1”

However, you can select Quick Start if you want to skip these quests. The only downside is you might encounter unfamiliar faces and stories that will spoil you on the missions.

You also need to reach Adventure Rank 28 and activate Yelan’s Story Quest, Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter: Act 1.

You must complete the quest first, as an error will show saying that the “Character is Currently Involved in Other Quests.” This will stop you from progressing with the event.

Once ready, you can go to the Events Overview, click or tap The Exquisite Night Chimes, and select Go to Quest to start the event.

The Exquisite Night Chimes will begin when you talk a walk around Liyue Harbor.
