Genshin Impact recently launched version 3.4 of the game, introducing a new area in the Sumeru Desert. Along with it are new World Quests that you can do.

One of these is the Apocalypse Lost World Quest, and we will show you where and how to complete it.

You must first complete the Dirge of Bilqis and Tadhla the Falcon quests to have access to the World Quest, Apocalypse Lost.

To start the quest, you need to find 5 chess pieces which are as follows:

  • King Deshret’s Pillar
  • Border Fort
  • Soulferry
  • Khaj-Nisut
  • Temple of Gurabad

The four chest pieces can be obtained while doing the Dirge of Bilqis quest, while the last one is given to you after completing “The Falcon’s Hunt.

Once you have all the chess pieces, go to the chessboard in Safhe Shatranj, southwest of the Desert of Hadramaveth.

You will see some shining blue squares on the board. Go to it to place the chess pieces. You don’t need to know the correct placements, as the interface will show you what piece is required on that tile.

Defeat the Enemies

Once you finish placing all the chess pieces, you will feel the ground shake, and Primal Constructs will spawn.

Defeat them, then investigate the new chess piece that appeared. Interact with it again to trigger it, transporting you to a new location.

In the new area, there are Primal Constructs. Defeat them to obtain Liloupar’s fragment.

Once you obtain it, you have completed the Apocalypse Lost World Quest. Before leaving the area, make sure you claim the Exquisite Chest by solving the Pyro Torch Puzzle.
