Cloaks and necklaces grant Frey certain boosts and attributes. The buffs she gets will depend on the cloak and necklace she’s currently equipping.

That said, you also have the option to upgrade them to further boost their effectiveness. And in this guide, we’ll show you how to upgrade your cloak and necklace quickly and easily.

Upgrading Your Cloak

Your time in Athia will be tough! Therefore, it’s obvious you will need to upgrade your gear at some point.

There are two methods you can use to access the upgrades. One is to use a Crafting Bench and the other is to set up a camp.

You will acquire your very first cloak early in the game, and as you progress through the game, you will meet a character named Auden.

After this encounter, the game will grant you the cloak as one of the three types of gear your character can equip.

Simply open your menu and select the “Gear” option to equip any item. This will also pop a window displaying all the items you own and can equip.

Upgrading Your Necklace

Necklaces are pieces of gear capable of providing several benefits to Frey as they have different effects and boast a plethora of different boosts. 

As such, we think it’s worth collecting them since you can boost your character for specific situations.

The method you should use to upgrade your necklace is the same as that of the cloak.

All you need to do is approach a Crafting Bench or a camp, select the menu, and then upgrade your accessory.
