Druids in Diablo 4 are fairly true to their Diablo 2 ancestors, even having some of the same skills.

Whether you are a Diablo 2 Druid master or a complete newbie, this guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Druid in Diablo 4!

The Druid class in Diablo 4 is all about being one with nature. As such, you will primarily use Earth as an element and will be able to summon animal companions.

However, you won’t just get to summon animals! You’ll also be able to transform yourself into various beasts, such as Werewolves and Bears.

Additionally, the Druid has access to the “Crushing Blow” class mechanic.

Crushing Blows have a chance to trigger anytime you deal damage with Earth skills. When this happens, you will reduce your enemy’s health by a percentage of their total HP!

This should help you deal massive damage against enemies with lots of HP. It’s less effective against bosses and other players, though, which is a tad disappointing but not surprising.

Ultimately, Druid is a heavy-hitting class at both melee and ranged combat. However, its skills have longer cooldowns than other classes on average, so it can be a tad slow comparatively.

Druid’s Unique Skills

The Druid’s skills are all about using the powers of nature against their foes. For example, you can use Landslide to crush foes with earthen pillars or Tornado to cut through enemies with a vortex of wind.

However, you won’t just use the elements for offense! You can give yourself Cyclone Armor to reduce ranged damage or Earthen Bulwark to use stones that make you unstoppable.

Other unique skills also allow the Druid to temporarily shapeshift. This will make you take the form of various beasts to attack your enemies.

This includes skills like Trample, which transforms you into a bear to rush through enemies. There are also skills that transform you into a Werewolf to shred your enemies, such as Ravenous Bite.

Lastly, you will be able to summon companions to help you fight. You will have access to Wolves, Ravens, and even a Vine Creeper that poisons enemies.

The Druid’s skills are very varied and you will be able to specialize in either melee or ranged combat, or maybe have a mix of both. Your companions also mean you won’t be alone even when playing solo!

Druid’s Legendary Aspects

Druids Legendary Aspects

Legendary Aspects are a new gameplay mechanic that will allow you to turn Rare items into Legendary items, applying a new Legendary effect.

Every class in Diablo 4 has some Aspects that are specific to them, and the Druid is no exception.

Some of the most noteworthy Aspects will allow the Druid to maintain shapeshifted forms longer, or even gain buffs and health when shapeshifting.

Which Aspects you choose should depend on your build and playstyle and there are quite a lot to pick from. However, we’ll cover some notable ones to give you an idea of what to expect.

Druids Legendary Aspects 1
  • Aspect of the Ursine Horror will make your Pulverize skill even better, turning it into an Earth Skill that summons Earth spikes. This gives it a chance to deal Crushing Blows as well!
  • Aspect of the Cyclonic Force will make Cyclone Armor reduce physical damage, not just ranged damage. It will also cover your nearby allies.
  • Skinwalker’s Aspect will grant you health every time you use a shapeshifting skill. If you’re already at max health, you will gain Fortified Health instead!
  • Aspect of the Tempest will make your Hurricane deal more damage the longer it’s active. Straight forward but powerful!
  • Mangled Aspect will grant you Spirit each time you take damage as a Werebear, allowing you to use your skills more frequently.

Again, these are only some of the notable Aspects we know of currently. There is no doubt that even more is yet to be seen, which will allow you to customize your Druid as much as you want.
