Blood Bowl 3 Chaos Renegades Race Guide Best Lineup Skills and Tips

Chaos Renegades can field up to three of four distinct Big Man players. This all adds up to a plethora of varied alternatives and choices for how to start your team.

The Big Guys are all pricey, as are team rerolls, and they have the disadvantage of lacking in starting skills, making a beginner team challenging to play.

Meanwhile, almost all the other players are reasonably priced, so you should be able to purchase most of what you desire.

Chaos Renegades Race Guide

This guide will discuss the best lineup, skills, and tips to help you kickstart your journey in Chaos Renegades.

Let’s begin!

Dark Elf

The Dark Elf Lineman gets General, Agility, and Mutations on the primary. His main skill will be “Two Heads.”

Generally, you’ll want to make this guy a ball carrier with the Block > Dodge > Sure Hands > Two Heads combo. This allows the Dark Elf to gain a +1 on Agility tests when using Dodge.

Orc

For the Orc, you’ll instantly notice his stats leaning more on armor. Due to this, you need to focus on Block and Guard on doubles.

Some skills aren’t worth getting, so just focus on those two.

Human

The Human is also a Lineman who uses Block, Tackle, and Claws skills.

However, it’s important to note that the Claws skill has been significantly nerfed and is no longer as exciting as it used to be.

Goblin

Goblin

Goblins are great in the sense that the Troll or the Ogre can throw them.

While he’s not that great by normal play, the Two Heads and Monstrous Mouth skills can benefit him.

Ogre

Ogre

As a Big Guy, the Ogre’s skills are costly, so we recommend only getting the Guard as his skill.

Some skills aren’t worth getting, so just focus on those two.

Troll

Troll

Like the Ogre, the Troll is another Big Guy. With the new Projectile Motion skill, the Troll can target an adjacent standing player and roll a D6.

Again, it’d be best only to get the Guard for this Big Guy.

Human Thrower

Human Thrower

If you do get the Human Thrower, make sure to give him Leader.

Getting the Human Thrower isn’t recommended since the other players are more valuable and worth purchasing.

Skaven

Skaven

The Skaven excels in movement speed if you like playing hit-and-runs. Nonetheless, the extra speed isn’t really necessary.

Although the Skaven isn’t an entirely terrible player, spending your SPP on other players’ more valuable skills is best.

Rat Ogre

Rat Ogre

While most Big Guys are helpful to any team, the Rat Ogre has a challenging trait called Animal Savagery.

If you get this player, focus on the Mighty Blow or Claws skills.

Minotaur

Minotaur

The Minotaur is similar to the Rat Ogre but without the Animal Savagery trait, making him a significantly better pick.

Instead, the Minotaur has the Horns skill which lets him gain +1 ST on a block during a Blitz.

The Chaos Renegades depend highly on the Big Guys, preferably the Minotaur, since they thrive on a scattered pitch using multiple Big Guys with Frenzy, Juggernaut, and Break Tackle.
