Best Weapons to Use in Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart features both guns and melee weapons. As such, we’ll be dividing this article into guns and melee weapons.

Best Guns in Atomic Heart

There are many factors to account for when choosing the best guns in Atomic Heart, including ammo efficiency.

As you have a limited inventory, you’ll want to maximize your storage by picking guns that have a good amount of ammo per inventory slot and also deal good damage per shot.

When taking this into consideration, one of the best weapons is the KS-23 shotgun. You can carry 18 shells per inventory slot and each shot deals fantastic damage.

Additionally, you get the KS-23 pretty early into the game. If you consistently keep upgrading it, this weapon will be able to carry you all the way throughout the game! Don’t neglect it.

Another great weapon is the Kalash assault rifle. Its ammo comes in bundles of 90 and its rate of fire and power makes it good for taking down multiple enemies fast.

The Kalash does suffer from the usual flaws of ARs, however. You’ll want to upgrade its recoil reduction and accuracy. Also don’t get carried away with its high rate of fire or you’ll waste ammo!

You also shouldn’t neglect your basic Electro pistol. It’s an energy weapon, so it doesn’t require you to carry ammo for it. The Electro is also extremely accurate, so you shouldn’t miss shots with it often.

It’s a small weapon that can help you save your ammo for other weapon types. Use the Electro to take out weaker enemies instead of wasting ammo on them.

The Electro especially shines when you get the EMP Generator upgrade, which will let you stun all robots near you.

Best Melee Weapons

A great all-around melee weapon is the Pashtet. It’s a balanced weapon that provides good speed and damage, sacrificing neither. Just a fantastic all-around option.

Another great option is the Zvezdochka. It’s a relatively fast weapon that can knock back weaker enemies with a few quick swings, especially with the Uppercut upgrade.

However, the Zvezdochka has a pretty slow charge speed. Its Charged Attacks can deal amazing damage, but you’ll have to be very careful when timing them!

Lastly, there’s the Fox. It might not seem strong at first, but its low base damage can be upgraded pretty easily with common resources.

Opposite of the Zvezdochka, the Fox instead relies on using Charged Attacks as much as possible. They charge fast and hit hard, so you’ll want to use them constantly!
