Best PvP and PvE Wizard Spell Build

Dark and Darker give you the best variation of character classes that you can choose from at the very start of the game. There are six different classes that you can choose from depending on your play style. In this game, you can see the rogue, ranger, fighter, cleric, barbarian, and wizard.

Since you are going to explore the mystical underground fortress, you have to counter them with magic damage. With that, the best character class to choose is the wizard.

As you already know, Dark and Darker do not only provide you with random players as your enemies. In some instances, the game environment will also give you some enemies that can buffer your progress.

That being said, we will provide you with two sets of spell-build guides that you can use in order to survive a PvP and a PvE combat.

Build 1

Build 1

A Person versus Environment combat refers to the players’ experience in fighting non-player characters that are also considered enemies.

In order for you to easily fight these NPCs and other players, these are the suggested Perks to have for your wizard character.

  • Mana Surge – Increases your magic damage bonus by 5%.
  • Quick Chant – Increases your spell-casting speed by 20%.
  • Arcane Mastery – Increases the magic damage of arcane spells by 5% and reduces the casting time of arcane spells by 1 second.
  • Fire Mastery – Increases the magic damage of the fire spells damage by 5% and increases the duration of burn status by 2.5 seconds.

Moreover, the expected Spells for you to have are as follows.

  • Fireball – Shoots the fireball that causes 30 direct damage to a target and 20 splash damage and a knockback effect to nearby targets.
  • Magic Missile – Fires up to 10 homing missiles that each deal 12 damage. Stops firing when you move.
  • Ignite – Set the target’s weapon on fire dealing 5 additional magic damage and burning enemies when they hit.
  • Haste – Target gains a 12% Action and Move Speed bonus for 12 seconds. Casts to self if no target is found.
  • Zap – If hit, it deals magic damage and burns the target for 1 second.

Remember that when casting Fireball, you have to keep a safe distance, or else you will get also receive damage from the explosion. When using Magic Missile, you have to keep standing still in order to keep casting it. You can stop it anytime by moving.

Build 2

For this second build, you will just go with the same set of Perks.

Spells

The set of your Spells is also almost the same as the first one, but the Ignite spell will be replaced by Chain Lightning.

  • Fireball – Shoots the fireball that causes 30 direct damage to a target and 20 splash damage and a knockback effect to nearby targets.
  • Magic Missile – Fires up to 10 homing missiles that each deal 12 damage. Stops firing when you move.
  • Chain Lightning – Electrocutes the target, inflicts spell damage, and fires lightning that is transferred to a being within 400 meters and shocks up to 3 times. It does not transfer to the target it was transferred to once, and it transfers to yourself if you are nearby.
  • Haste – Target gains a 12% Action and Move Speed bonus for 12 seconds. Casts to self if no target is found.
  • Zap – If hit, it deals magic damage and burns the target for 1 second.

In this set of spells, be careful when using the Chain Lightning as it does mass group damage. If there are three players near each other, they will all be damaged by this. You, as the caster, are not an exemption from this so always keep a safe distance from the enemies.

Gears

Both of these guides require a high-cost limit for Spell Memory. To be able to use any of these guides, you have to make sure that the gear you are equipping has additional Knowledge or All Attributes.

Some of the gear that you can use to increase the Spell Memory capacity is Rawhide Gloves, a Ring of Quickness, and a Fox Pendant.

Crystal Ball

In choosing your primary and secondary equipment, make sure to just use a Spellbook or Crystal Ball with Dagger as it only reduces 10 of your movement speed, unlike the Crystal Sword which takes away 25 of your movement speed.

If you want to use a sword, just equip it as a secondary.
