With the release of the latest patch, ARK: Survival of the Fittest’s gameplay has undergone a dramatic transformation. You can now locate a supply crate to receive armor, weapons, and more without crafting.

The starting point in the game is also changed. You do not start at the center. You’ll start in a house atop a soaring Quetzal and drop to the ground anywhere you like, just like in any other battle royale game.

Avoid Early Confrontations

You should get acquainted with the game at the beginning. When you first enter the game, it’s best not to try and pick fights with anyone else. Start by locating equipment by visiting a nearby supply crate by dropping towards it from the get-go.

Build Up Points

You’ll find two icons underneath your minimap. The first is the total number of dinos you have tamed, while the second is your current point total. Once you’ve acquired a weapon, you can rack up points by eliminating dinosaurs.

You can use a tamed dinosaur as a weapon if you have enough points. Take this into consideration. Points are needed for dinosaur taming.

Boss Dinos

To ensure your success in ARK: Survival of the Fittest, you can call upon powerful Boss dinosaurs. They’re a hefty 400 points each. Put together enough points, and you can summon one.

Killing monsters or other players with a Boss dinosaur will not earn you points. Also, when their health reaches zero, Boss dinosaurs disappear forever.

Do Not Expect to Win

You can’t enter ARK: Survival of the Fittest expecting to win as a beginner. You have only just begun to learn the ropes. Among many other things, you’ll need to know which dinosaurs are considered “meta” and the most effective strategies for victory.
